Pope John Paul II in his address to Serra International in December if 2000 said:

“The whole Church must become completely ministerial, a community of heralds and witnesses, rich in laborers for the harvest,” he said. “Prayer moves the heart of God.”

“The role of Serrans fits very well into the mission of the Church because they encourage pastors and laity alike to promote vocations,” the Holy Father concluded.

Welcome to the Serra Club          of El Paso, Texas

All members of our club welcome you and warmly invite you to learn about our work to serve the Catholic Church of El Paso.

Serra is an international organization with clubs throughout the world. Our members are lay Catholic men and women like you who work together to execute the charge of Pope John Paul II to be the: “Vocation Arm of the Church”.

Our Serra Club of El Paso works closely with His Excellency Bishop Ochoa of the Diocese of El Paso to promote vocations to the priesthood and all consecrated religious life and to affirm and to support all religious in their sacred ministry. By doing this great work our members fulfill their Christian vocation to service.
